Behind the Scene at Brasov
I shot some pics with my mobile phone from the few moments outside of the gym and some nice shots inside the gym. The whole gallery is featured by Flotschi the Redford aka The Face. He made coffe with a cleaning towel and hot water … guess how it tasted.
Bouldering Open in Brasov Romania
I was introduced by Flo Scheimpflug to go to Romania last weekend to set a bouldering competition. Romania … where is it? I most farthest place to the east I have ever been was Vienna with a short visit to Hungary. No big deal, Google Maps is the man.
DeWalt DC845KB Spaceship has landed
I have got a new tool to play with and i have tested it for sure. The DeWalt DC845KB Cordless Impact Driver 12V!
I had some weird pain in climbing routesetting because of some typist’s cramp injury on my left wrist since last march. It was getting more worst when I was setting a lot of routes last fall and this winter. I decided to check an impact wrench to force healing my wrist. It’s still not a good feeling every time I pull on the Allen Key and with the impact driver I for sure feel nothing at all.
So this was the first reason I bought it and the second is I’m much faster now!
Slackline vs. Cable Cam
I’m working on a way to film with a little movement when it comes to climbing routes or where some distance is to make.
I first got inspired by Johannes Mair from Alpsolut. He owns a Cablecam or a gear to steer his Cam over a cable from A to B.
I was thinking a lot how to steer and build that thing. I came up with a cheap solution. I took some aluminum shapes and bought a remote controlled tank at ebay. Cam is going on bottom and with some teething problems I can steer my cam with a wireless remote control over two cables.
Logo Artwork
I accepted the dare to design the team logo of the Vöcklabruck Climbing Team. I made a couple of drafts and they chose the following. It was kind of a new experience to me. I’m not the typical designer and better in bringing existing graphics to live within doing some motion with them.

We call it slack…
Some new experience in filming is the new project. A film called ‘KEEP IT SLACK – action based slackline tutorial’ with Reinhard Kleindl. The film will be based on his new Book ‘SLACKLINE – die kunst des modernen seiltanzen‘ which will be released in german end of spring 2010. Almost everything is filmed now and when we have the last few shots I will upload the trailer. Stay tuned for that, I guess it will be worth it! The release Date of the film is still not set but will be end of spring or summer begin.
You can then watch Reini and some other Liners on the Jump Line with stunning action, on the Highline above deep ground, describing complicated tricks in easy ways and much more.
Argentina
My friends Andi and Ivan trveled to Argentina for some high altitude bouldering experience. I was asked to pimp the following pictures what describes some moments that happened there.
